Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 12, 2026
This policy explains how Guatemala Nature handles personal information when you browse our website, contact us, request travel information, subscribe to updates, or use GNT Ops, our Backoffice and Provider Portal for coordinating tourism services.
Information you provide
We receive the information you submit in our forms and communications, such as your name, email address, phone number, travel preferences and message. If you use our operational applications, we also process account details, invitations, organization memberships, provider contact details and the service information you enter. Please share only information needed for your request or work.
Sign in with Google
When you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your basic account identity with our authentication provider, WorkOS. This can include your Google account identifier, name, email address, email verification status and profile picture. We use this information to authenticate you, associate your account with invitations and permissions, and help secure access to GNT Ops.
Google sign-in does not give us your Google password. Our sign-in integration requests basic identity and profile information; it does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts or calendar. Signing in does not automatically grant access to a tenant or provider organization.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, plan and coordinate requested services, manage accounts and invitations, communicate about our services, and maintain security and reliability. We use subscription details to send the updates you requested. We also maintain operational audit records to track changes and investigate misuse.
Sharing and service providers
Information is processed by service providers supporting the relevant feature: WorkOS for authentication, Convex for operational application data, Vercel for hosting and website analytics, Resend for email, and Sanity for website content. Authorized team members and service providers receive information needed to handle your request or the services you use.
If you use a WeTravel booking or inquiry feature, WhatsApp, Google Translate, or another external service linked or embedded on our website, that service may process information under its own privacy terms. Review those terms before submitting information or completing a transaction.
We do not sell Google account information or use it for advertising targeting. We may disclose information when necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations, protect people or our services, or respond to a lawful request.
Cookies and technical information
Our services and their providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, page visits, and error or security logs. Account applications use session cookies to keep you signed in. The website uses Vercel Analytics to understand website usage. Third-party embedded features may use their own cookies or similar technologies.
You can manage cookies through your browser and choose whether to use optional third-party features. Blocking session cookies may prevent account sign-in from working.
Storage, retention and security
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. We use access controls and authentication to restrict account and operational data to authorized users. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide requested services, maintain necessary business and audit records, resolve disputes and meet applicable obligations. Retention depends on the information and purpose; removing account access does not automatically erase all related operational records.
Your choices and deletion requests
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, close an account, or stop marketing messages by contacting the email below. We may need to verify your identity and explain any information we must retain. You may also use an unsubscribe option provided in a marketing email.
You can remove the Google connection from your Google Account’s third-party connections settings. Revoking Google access does not by itself delete records already held by Guatemala Nature; contact us to request deletion.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or information practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate to the affected service.
